Whilst Chemotherapy and Radiation are necessary cancer treatments, they are harsh and can have a negative impact on your skin and hair. Many mainstream skin care products are not necessarily designed to suit your skin and hair as it undergoes changes resulting from your treatment. It is common during treatment for cancer to develop sensitive skin. Skin can become dry and flaky so the need to moisturise is very important.

• Apply a moisturising cream to affected areas and use a bath 
  oil when bathing

• Use a mild shampoo if your scalp is feeling sensitive

• Use a high factor sun cream or sun block every day, even
   during the winter months, especially on your head if you have
   hair loss - and don't forget to reapply frequently
 
Cancer treatment can increase vulnerability to infection too, so keep hygiene a high priority - try using a hand sanitiser.

Skin cancer rates are increasing faster than any other cancer, with figures doubling every 10 to 20 years, making up a third of all UK cancers. But the majority of people still think that less than 1 in 10 cancers affect the skin. (British Association of Dermatologists 2008). With these figures in mind we have put together a range of sun creams with a minimum SPF15, that can help protect your skin from sun damage.
