QV Wash

QV Wash is a gentle yet effective cleansing wash, lightly foams as it cleanses, to leave your skin feeling clean and fresh. Suitable for the entire body but mild enough to use on the face.

Your skin is your body’s largest organ. When it’s healthy your skin contains a high level of moisture. From time to time however, the amount of moisture in your skin decreases resulting in dryness and irritation. In time, the skin becomes rough and itchy, losing its smoothness and healthy glow.

What causes dry or sensitive skin?
As we age the flow of natural oils which help to keep the skin soft, supple and healthy, is reduced and drying can occur. People with dermatitis or eczema can lose water from their skin up to 10 times faster than normal. Babies and children may also have dry skin if the glands producing the oil are not functioning properly.

Environmental factors such as cold weather, drying winds and the summer sun as well as central heating and air conditioning also intensify the drying and ageing of our skin. Even the soap we use to cleanse our skin can cause drying. Likewise perfume, colorants and preservatives used in skin care products can irritate sensitive skin.

QV – the solution for all your dry and sensitive skincare needs
To care for your dry skin effectively it’s important to avoid using soap. Most soap has an alkaline pH that strips away your skin’s natural layer of protective oils leaving it dried and open to infection. Ordinary soap should be replaced with one of QV’s gentle non soap cleansers. Like all products in the QV range, they have a pH of 6, which is similar to your skin’s own pH, so they are less likely to irritate. They also help maintain the skin’s natural protective properties.

A recent UK survey of over 100 dry skin sufferers carried out showed that 89% of people trying the product felt that the product was different to their previous dry skin products and 99% said they intended to tell their doctor about it. They reported that they preferred QV because it is fragrance and colour free, easy to apply, less greasy and more soothing than their previous products they had tried.
